Eco friendly wax melts

The Eco conscious wax.

There is a lot of debate on the best wax to use for wax melts and candles. It all comes down to personal preference, but I like to have a fully informed choice and believe others should too!

When looking into making wax melts and candles one of the first things to consider was which wax to use, I put a lot of research into wax types before deciding.

I wanted to make sure that I could provide customers with a product they would love, and could feel good about using.

While some companies market their products as eco-friendly by using soy wax, I looked into how soy farming affects deforestation and decided this was not the most sustainable of options. Likewise, palm wax was crossed off the list because of its impact on the planet's natural resources. Then there was paraffin and beeswax. Beeswax is natural yes, but I wanted to enable Kind Melts to be available to a diverse range of people ( beeswax not being a vegan product ) and paraffin due to wanting to keep the products as natural as possible.

My goal with Kind Melts was to offer a sustainable alternative. I chose to use a blend of coconut and rapeseed wax because it is a more environmentally conscious choice.

This wax is a very clean burning wax, no additives, GMO free and being a plant based wax is fully biodegradable. It gives Kind Melts eco wax melts and scented candles a creamy, luxurious texture, yes this is more expensive than some other waxes but it is in my opinion well worth the expense! The wax also holds the fragrance extremely well and has a low melting point so within minutes the fragrance is released and begins to fill the room. The wax melts not only work well in tea light wax warmers, but also electric and those well known branded warmers too!
