Eco friendly wax melts


When it comes to wax melts and candles, There is a lot of debate on which wax is best. While personal preferences vary, I strongly believe that having the right information is key to making an informed choice.


As the founder of Kind Melts I put a lot of effort into looking into the best type of wax to use. I wanted something that would not only give customers a product they would love but also one that they would feel good about using.





While some companies tout their products as being eco-friendly by using soy wax, I looked into how soy farming affects deforestation and decided this was not the most sustainable of options. Likewise, palm wax was crossed off the list because of its impact on the planet's natural resources. Then there was paraffin and beeswax. Beeswax is natural yes, but I wanted to enable Kind Melts to be available to a diverse range of people ( beeswax not being a vegan product ) and paraffin due to wanting to keep the products as natural as possible.


My primary goal with Kind Melts was to offer a sustainable alternative to other products on the market. I chose to use a blend of coconut and rapeseed wax because it is a more environmentally conscious choice.

This wax is a very clean burning, plant-based wax that's fully biodegradable and GMO-free. It gives our eco wax melts and scented candles a creamy, luxurious texture that's hard to beat. Although this wax is more expensive than some others in my opinion its well worth the expense! It holds the fragrance extremely well and the low melting point results to the fragrance being released quickly. Our wax melts not only work well in tea light wax warmers, but also electric and well known branded warmers too.
